West Texas MRC Yearly Events
RotaCare Vaccination Drive and Health Fair- January 11th, 2024 8am-12pm
The WTMRC will be setting up canopies and tables and provide information on the Vial of Life and Dispose RX programs to their clients. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with some administrative duties while we're there.
Fire Safety- March 14th
Interactive safety event for kids will be held, along with safety stations. Kids have the opportunity to learn safety techniques with different emergency personnel. MRC will support BorderRac's initiatives for this event.
Bataan Memorial Death March- March 22nd
This event can last up to 16 hours and is commemorating the actual Bataan Death March in 1945. Our involvement is to assist registering and providing medical support for those participants who need medical attention.
Shattered Dreams- April
This event involves High school students and focuses on the consequences of driving while intoxicated. a simulated vehicle crash is setup, and occupants are transported to hospitals, morgue, and jail.
Aging to Perfection Fair- August
This event is open to the general public but focuses on the elderly population. Our role is to provide MRC recruiting information, and other educational programs such as Stop the bleed, Dispose RX, and Vial of Life.
NE community Far- September
This event is open to the general public. Our role is to provide MRC recruiting information, and other educational programs such as Stop the Bleed, Dispose RX, and Vial of Life.
**Other unscheduled events can occur in short notices. A message will be sent out through TDVR. **
MRC can participate in special projects with organizations in the community who are in need of volunteer services.
MRC General Membership Meeting Schedule

When: Saturday November 5 at 9AM
Where: El Paso Regional Communication Center at 6055 Threadgill
After a 2 year COVID delay, the West Texas Medical Reserve Corps will be conducting a General Membership meeting on Saturday November 12 at 9AM. The meeting will be held at the El Paso Regional Communication Center at 6055 Threadgill in the Auditorium. Parking will be across the street from this facility, please see document below. We will be discussing some training and upcoming events our MRC is participating in, as well as a federal grant we received.
